We have a new cottage!
The dedication for the first new cottage in forty years for the residential services program took place on November 13, 2007.
The finished cottage represented the culmination of years of planning and team work and alaunched our ongoing campaign to replace the remaining older cottages which house the 48 children who live here. The new cottage, named the Tim Lewis and K. Hovnanian Cottage, represents the most advanced design for a facility of its kind. It provides these youth with a home-like environment that supports the therapeutic and educational goals of this critical program.
This wonderful new cottage represents the collaboration and support of many. HomeAid, the philanthropic arm of the Building Industry Association, made this project possible. Through HomeAid Tim Lewis Homes and K. Hovnanian served as builder-captains. Many, many other businesses and individuals contributed time, materials and inspiration to make this possible. It is our hope that what follows is a complete listing. It took the contributions of everyone to bring this dream to fruition.
