The Big Day of Giving is quickly approaching on Thursday, May 4th, but you don’t have to wait to help. The Sacramento Children’s Home could use your help today! Starting now and continuing through May 4th, we are seeking to raise $150,000 to support our three greatest needs programs, which are our Residential Treatment Program, Crisis Nursery, and Family Resource Centers.
The Sacramento Children’s Home will once again join over 700 area nonprofits as we strive to raise critical funding to support the vital programs and services we provide for children and families across our community. Now more than ever we need your help! This spring, will you help us raise essential funds? It’s simple!
This year, we have a goal of raising $150,000 to address the critical needs of local children and families we serve.
Your donation will directly support the most urgent needs of our Crisis Nursery, Family Resource Center, and Residential Treatment Program programs.
What is Big Day of Giving?
Each year, the Big Day of Giving is held on the first Thursday of May and the Sacramento region comes together to support organizations that make our community stronger. The Big Day of Giving is a 24-hour, community-wide fundraising movement, organized by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. We’re thrilled to once again be a part of this fun and impactful event, and we hope we can count on your help!
How to Get Involved
Make a donation (three safe and easy options)
Help us reach our Big Day of Giving 2023 goal of $150,000 by:
Option 1: Give on the SCH website (Preferred way of giving)
Visit the Sacramento Children’s Home Big Day of Giving donate page at https://kidshome.org/bdogdonate/ between now and May 4th and give any amount that is meaningful to you. Your safe and secure donation will count towards the Big Day of Giving and no outside processing fees will be deducted by giving through this platform.
Option 2: Give on the Big Day Day of Giving website
Visit the Big Day of Giving page designated for the Sacramento Children’s Home at www.bigdayofgiving.org/sacchildrenshome between April 21st and May 4th, and give any amount that is meaningful to you. Your safe and secure donation will go toward our Big Day of Giving total. A nominal administration fee of 5% will be deducted or you can choose to cover that cost as part of your donation.
Option 3: You can also donate by check
You can always support SCH by sending a check to: 2750 Sutterville Road, Sacramento, CA 95820. Just be sure to write “Big Day of Giving” in the notes/memo field.

Starting right now, you can support our efforts just by spreading the word. Create a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or LinkedIn post to let your friends, peers, and family members know you plan to participate and encourage them to join you. Or share ours. Send an email!
